Dr. Kelly Wright is the owner and managing physician of Vashon Natural Medicine, the only independent primary care clinic on Vashon Island. She has been practicing medicine in her home town of Vashon since founding the clinic in 1998.

Dr. Wright says that best part of her job is working with generations of patients, and seeing the benefits of integrative medicine for whole families. She loves her work, and feels privileged to manage a clinic that provides comprehensive health care to Vashon. Since starting the clinic, Dr. Wright provides primary care to patients of all ages, and treats all conditions.

Dr. Wright received her BA in Psychology from The Evergreen State College in 1990, and her BS in Health Sciences from Bastyr University in 1993. After graduating with her Naturopathic Doctorate from Bastyr in 1998, she became adjunct faculty at Bastyr University, Supervising Physician of the Bastyr Clinic Dispensary, and served on the Editorial Board of The Journal of Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Wright is currently a consultant for both corporate entities and non-profit organizations.

For her work providing free and discounted medical care to the Vashon Island community, in 2005 Dr. Wright was the first ND awarded in the Washington State Health Professionals Loan Repayment.  In an effort to bring accessible and quality health care to Vashon Island, over the years she has partnered with multiple agencies including the CDC, Washington State Department of Health, American Academy of Pediatrics, Washington Health Care Authority/DSHS, King County Public Health, University of Washington, Bastyr University, Vashon Island School District, and the Vashon Social Services Network.

Besides practicing medicine, Kelly loves to spend her time with her family, gardening, hiking with her dog, traveling, and supporting causes that work towards a healthy and sustainable habitat for all.

“Brilliant, kind and practical, Dr. Wright has cared for three generations of our international family for 20 years now. Her guidance and treatments are an integral part of our health, from infants to octogenarians, she is our go-to doctor.”
